Running Club in Milton Keynes

Sessions

Wednesdays 6:30 - 7:30pm

Willen Lake

"Getting into running alone is like trying to start a rock band with just a kazoo — technically possible, but halfway through you're wheezing, questioning your life choices, and there's no one around to stop you from quitting. That’s why we’re starting a Couch to 5K club — because running’s better when the band comes together."

the story

the start

Run MK started at the University of Buckingham in 2025. By students Galen Butler and Rory Janes, to get the community active

other runnnng clubs

(our opinion)

Running clubs tend to focus on high levels of competition and cater to advanced runners. However, this environment is not welcoming for beginners. We want to create a space that teaches the skills and develops the consistency so that anyone joining can develop a solid grounding so that they can take the next step on their running journey.
